Terwillegar Drive Pedestrian Overpass

The great thing about night photography is that you are outside where there are few people out and you can enjoy the tranquility in an otherwise pretty busy city. The not-so-great thing about night photography is that it's at night and if you work the next morning, good luck.

Fortunately, I was finally scheduled for an evening shift so I took this chance to go out and snap some photos. I decided to hang around the Terwillegar Drive Pedestrian Overpass, that ugly fenced bridge crossing Terwillegar Drive between 23rd Ave and Rabbit Hill Road.

The fencing on the bridge ruins what could be a decent skyline shot

Doesn't matter have bokeh

Didn't come up with much but there were a few interesting shots here and there.

Dusk

I find myself wanting to go out and take photos but I know I won't survive the next morning if I do...so this is all I came up with.

My mom's desk positioning is brilliant

We'll go out another time.

Welcome, Welcome!

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog. Frankly I don't have much to say besides the fact that I decided to start a photography website/blog (if you want details on how any of this started, check out the "about" section). I'll do a quick run-down of what I envision this site being and what's in store about the future of this site.

First and foremost, this site was created to share my photographs with everyone. I previously did this largely with Instagram (and will still post regularly there) but this site has a dedicated photo section with the photos in their full resolution, as opposed to Instagram's garbage downsampling.

photos break up text nicely, eh?

Secondly, this blog serves as a home for my own thoughts. In terms of content, I intend to post some OOTDs (outfit of the day for the uninitiated), some photoblogging, and any topics that I may find interesting or relevant.

Finally, this site is a template for what could also be a small shop/marketplace. Currently, I really have no intention of selling my photos as prints (does anyone even want them??) but if I ever become prolific enough that my work is monetarily valuable or people request it, I will open a section on this site for selling prints of my photos.

Also, if enough people become interested, ultimately this site could evolve into a curated site managed by like-minded individuals into a collection of common interests. Photography, minimalistic design, video games, more OOTDs...who knows? A lot of this is up in the air, but a lot can happen as well. In the meantime, enjoy what's on here and what's to come.

Thanks for checking out the site!
